To the east of Stony Stratford is Wolverton. Using the closed Wolverton to Newport Pagnell train line as its base, the ‘Lost Track of Time Railway Walk’ takes you across the north of Milton Keynes through Great Linford and New Bradwell.

The track between Wolverton and Great Linford is flat and 3.2 miles long. The starting point, at Wolverton, is approximately 2 miles from Fairfields and 3 miles from Whitehouse.

Along the route of the Lost Track are many cultural and beauty spots to be enjoyed. These include:

  • The Secret Garden: a former derelict piece of land that has been transformed into a garden by the local community.
  • Railway Mural: a long black and white mural of a steam train by Bill Billings, completed in 1984.
  • Milton Keynes Museum: a hands-on museum featuring a Victorian schoolroom, street of shops, connected earth gallery, and tearoom.
  • Bradwell Windmill: a working windmill, open for visitors on Sundays during summer months.
  • Milton Keynes Arts Centre: arts centre which runs courses and workshops for families and adults.
